As entrepreneurs who have grown up in our small city, my wife and I saw an opportunity to bring an unknown operation to our area that would disrupt the current archaic waste management market, help the environment through carbon reduction and bring significant savings to local businesses.

We operate out of our home, Plant City, the winter strawberry capital of the world. The city is known for agricultural business and food production facilities coupled with an old-school mentality of helping and supporting those you live and work with. We also operate in our neighboring Polk County, which is one of the fastest-growing commercial areas in the country.

Tim Hunt

Owner

Tim grew up in the finger lakes area of Upstate NY in Skaneateles. After playing Lacrosse and attending the Rochester Institute of Technology, he ended up in New Tork curt where he and Plant City, FL native Lindsay (Roberts) would meet. Both Tim and Lindsay worked for the worlds largest custom clothing Company, Tom James Co. After 3 children (Cambell, Dylan and Hayes) and over a decade in NYC Tim and Lindsay decided to set permanent roots in Plant City. Having always been entrepreneurial and working off 100% commission for 16 years Tim decided to venture out on his own and. The industry disruptive and environmental friendly Smash My Trash was a perfect match for both Tim and Lindsays skill set.

Ariadna Costanzo

Business Operations Manager

Ariadna Costanzo, a native of the beautiful city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, holds a degree in International Relations and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Marketing and Communication. With over four years of experience in administrative and assistant roles, she has honed her skills in streamlining processes and building strong client relationships. These strengths led her to join the Smash My Trash team, where she excels daily as the Business Operations Manager.

Austin Maxwell

Smash Machine Operator

Austin Maxwell, a proud Durant High School graduate, was born and raised in the Plant City area. He shares his life with his wife, Jenna, and their daughter, Chloe. Austin’s love for animals and people alike makes him a cherished member of our team. His extensive mechanical knowledge, combined with exceptional driving skills, ensures the efficient operation of our Smash machines, significantly enhancing our service quality. When not operating the Smash Truck, Austin enjoys spending time with his family, fixing various recreational equipment, and riding recreational vehicles.
